Today, Wednesday, 10 Sep 2025, A presentation was given at Oakland Park to 170 6th grade students and 19 teachers from surrounding schools: Franklin Middle School TRF, St. Bernard's TRF, Goodridge and Grygla MN
Evaluations stated our station was the BEST! They especially loved trying on the bee suits. Several kids seemed genuinely interested in pursuing more info and took pamphlets. Bonus, one of our association youths was in attendance!
Two adults mentioned we were a great addition to the program, another mentioned the nice visual aids. Notes for next time- have beekeeping products on display, honey wax products bowl of fruit and nuts to show what kinds of foods need pollinators. Need a close up pictorial display for how bees make wax.
